Disaster Struck!

Hi everyone, girlofhearts here with news on life from my end. I left to find my boyfriend rushing to McDonald's where I was going to meet him after work, in a panic telling me our apartment caught on fire! Five minutes after I left!

It was a faulty wiring and the wall between the living room and kitchen exploded. No one was hurt, but we are moving again.

No telling where this will take us.

I got word from the firefighters and a few of my boyfriend's coworkers about what had happened while I was gone. Here's the story.

I decided to help the love of my life with unpacking what was left of my stuff, clean the kitchen and sort out laundry for later before I left for McDonald's to meet up with him when he clocks out. About five minutes later, my boyfriend runs into McDonald's in a panic and tells me the apartment caught on fire. I thought he was kidding because he pranks me at times. We collected our friend and third living with us and went home. We came to see the firefighters taking care of the situation and the two coworkers living below us told me that my love when back to the apartment because he thought I was still there and thought I was dying or in trouble. But they told him that I was in town waiting for him. The paramedics checked his breathing because he inhaled some of the smoke and fumes trying to look for me and he was alright, he was just in shock and out of steam from running.

The cause was a faulty wiring that was in the hallway between the living room and the kitchen. The wiring in the wall exploded, my bf's coworkers said they heard an loud boom above them and thought something blew up. Something did and the kitchen and guest bathroom our friend shared was destroyed. All our food, appliances, the fridge, the toaster, everything! Was destroyed or melted! All of this happened five minutes after I had left. Our landlady moved us into another apartment complex across from our old one so we aren't going homeless, thank goodness.

I kept wondering... If I had listened to my bf and stayed home today... I wouldn't have lived to tell about this. I thank God neither he nor our friend were home.
